Director, Harry Seidler and Associates
Penelope Seidler AM is the Director of Harry Seidler and Associates and a renowned architect. With her husband Harry Seidler, she has won numerous awards for architecture and their designs remain architecturally and culturally significant today. In 2001 Penelope was awarded a Centenary Medal for service to Australian society in business leadership; and in 2008 she was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia for service to the preservation of cultural heritage, particularly through the Australiana Fund; to visual arts organisations; and to architecture. She has sat on the International Council of the Museum of Modern Art in New York since 1973, been a Biennale of Sydney director since late 2010, and was deputy commissioner for the Australian Pavilion at the 2013 Venice Biennale.
