Unaffordable Housing Kayak Tour

Enjoy a beautiful kayaking tour on Sydney’s stunning harbour and experience some of Sydney’s most unaffordable housing. This unique guided tour starts at the spit and will show you rare insights into the suburbs of Clontarf, Beauty Point, North Balgowlah, Castlecrag, and the prestigious Balgowlah heights.

The 90-minute tour will be led by Architect Tim Williams and Sydney Harbour Kayaks.

Tim Williams is a Sydney architect and urban designer with a Kayak. He is progressively circumnavigating the metropolis by its waterways in order to reassess the planning of the Sydney basin. He wants you to join him to listen to country, and to observe the city from a different perspective, at the peaceful pace of the paddle.

The beautiful suburbs around middle harbour are the homes of a fortunate few. The indigenous history of the waterway is tragically fascinating. The contrast with the current critical issues of housing affordability provided by this peep into a postcard of privilege, is a poignant backdrop for further discussion.

Some kayaking experience is preferred, but not essential.

This are a very small number of places on this tour and it is a bit of a teaser for a future project so book your place and watch this space. There are only 13 tickets available!
